Galwegians were confirmed as Junior League Division 2 Champions this weekend. They finished the season on twenty points, one point clear of Loughrea and Tuam after a highly competitive League season which was nip and tuck all the way. But it was the Glenina outfit who edged home, with an impressive points differential of 329 for & 41 against. In the Junior League Division 1, Creggs signed off their campaign with an impressive 25-11 home victory over Gort. However it wasn’t enough to deprive Gort of their place in the Top four play-offs, where they will have an away tie against either Buccaneers or Castlebar. Corinthians are the other qualifiers, having won easily against NUIG in mid-week. |
