Rugby clubs throughout the province have the opportunity to win a Masterclass Session with some of the Connacht squad.

Week in, week out, fans brave the elements to cheer on Connacht in their Magners League games.

Many of these fans are the same ones who play for their own local teams – the nurturing grounds for most of the current Magners League players. 

Magners League would like to pay a special tribute to the local Connacht clubs who are the backbone of the league.

By teaming up with Connacht Rugby and giving clubs the chance to win a Masterclass Session with some of their players, Magners League and Connacht Rugby are saying thank-you for all your support.

According to Anne Hogan, Magners League: “Attendances at Magners League games continue to increase and the competitive matches showcase the fantastic brand of rugby played in the League.  Many of our Magners League players started off playing and learning their skills in their local clubs.

Without these clubs, the league would not be of the standard it is today, and for that reason we are really grateful to them,” she said.

You will then be entered into the draw to WIN this exclusive Masterclass for up to 20 over-18 members of your club.  The winning club will be announced at half time at the game on January 9th.

Closing date for purchase of tickets is 02/01/09. Tickets bought at thegate on January 9th are NOT eligible for inclusion in the competition.

Masterclass Competition Terms & Conditions

·    This competition is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland only except employees of the promoters, their immediate families, agencies and anyone professionally associated with the promotion.

·    Entrants must be over 18 years of age.

·    All participants in the training session must be over 18 years of age with a maximum of 20 participants for the 2-hour Masterclass.  

·    No cash in lieu of prizes.

·    Entrants agree to be bound by these rules.

·    Competition entry closes 05/01/09.  Tickets bought at the gate on match day will not qualify for entry into the competition.  All tickets must be purchased via Connacht Rugby on or before 02/01/09.

·    Winners will be notified by telephone/post by 19/01/09.

·    Training session with Connacht Rugby to take place at a mutually agreed time (pre 2009/10 season) and location.

·    Dates may be subject to change.
