Photo: INPHO/Graham Stuart Edinburgh 32 Connacht 5 Connacht fell to a four tries to one defeat at Murrayfield on Friday night in a disappointing performance. There was little between the sides in the opening half but Edinburgh took their chances and led 13-0 at the break as Connacht failed to capitalise on good possession won through the set-pieces. Ian Keatley was off target with a couple of penalties as Edinburgh full-back Chris Paterson converted Kyle Traynor’s 20th minute try and then landed a brace of penalties. Edinburgh put the game beyond Connacht’s reach with tries from Ross Ford and Andrew Turnbull in a three-minute spell in the third quarter. Connacht defended well with Keith Matthews superb in the centre but the loss through injury of Robbie Morris in the first-half and Michael Swift and Kieran Campbell shortly after the restart did little to help Connacht’s cause. Connacht were rewarded in the final quarter when Troy Nathan crossed in the left corner after good work by Conor O’Loughlin, Andy Dunne and Matthews but Edinburgh secured a bonus point with the final play of the night when Allister Hogg crossed.
