The Connacht skipper will lead Ireland into battle against Canada XV next Wednesday. The Portumna native, who won his first senior cap against Canada the weekend before last, made his second appearance in Sunday’s 27-10 win over Eddie O’Sullivan’s US Eagles. Ian Keatley was also capped against Canada and the US Eagles, crowning a great first season with Connacht. Muldoon is one of five Connacht players in the Ireland A squad for the Churchill Cup campaign. Sean Cronin, who was in the senior squad but did not come off the bench against Canada or the United States, will also be in Denver. Centre Keith Matthews, scrum-half Frank Murphy and winger Fionn Carr will also be in Churchill Cup action. Ireland will continue their campaign against Georgia on Sunday, June 14. |
