Mixed fortune for Euro opponents

Two of the teams in Pool Two of the Amlin Challenge Cup enjoyed victories at the weekend
and the other two, including Connacht, went down to defeats.
Montpellier, who Connacht play in France on October 16, went down 18-14 to Racin g-Metro 92 in Paris and are now 13th in the Top 14.
They will entertain Toulouse in Montpellier next weekend before travelling to play Worcester Warriors in the opening weekend of the Amlin Challenge Cup the following week.
Worcester moved up to sixth in the Guinness Premiership with a 24-18 win at home to Sale Sharks.
They travel to Leicester Tigers next weekend before commencing their European campaign.
Olympus Rugby Madrid, who come to the Sportsground for the opening game on Friday, October 9, made it three wins from three to claim outright leadership of the Spanish League.
They defeated Cajasol Cieneias and will travel to play Connacht’s former European Challenge Cup opponents Cetransa El Salvador next weekend before coming to Galway a week later.
