Connacht 46 Olympus Rugby Madrid 6  Connacht got their Amlin Challenge Cup campaign off to a bonus point win over Olympus Rugby Madrid at the Sportsground. Connacht scored eight tries in the process with Michael Swift and Fionn Carr grabbing two apiece. Tiernan O’Halloran crowned his competitive debut with a try, with his touchdown on the half hour securing a bonus point following early tries from Adrian Flavin, Mike McCarthy and Swift. Niva Ta’auso got Connacht’s fifth as Olympus out-half Jeremias Palumbo hit two penalties to leave it 27-6 at the break. Connacht dominated the second-half with Fionn Carr crossing for a couple of tries as Michael Swift completed the win with his second try.
