Bobby Deacy RIP

The death has taken place of Bobby Deacy, former President of Connacht and of the Irish Rugby Football Union.
Bobby served as President of the IRFU in 1996/97, having served as Honorary Treasurer of the Union from 1987 to 1996.
The long-serving member of Galwegians RFC served as secretary of the Connacht Branch from 1975-81 and was President in 1985-86.
He will be reposing at his home at Woodstock in Galway this Tuesday (December 29) from 2-7pm.
Removal on Wednesday to the Augustinian Church for Mass at 12 noon. He will be buried afterwards in Forthill Cemetery.
The President of the Connacht Branch of the IRFU, Steve Cunningham, extends sympathy to Bobby’s family and wide circle of friends on behalf of all in Connacht Rugby.
