Connacht prop Jamie Hagan has extended his contract at the Sportsground after an impressive first season with Michael Bradley's men. The 22-year old, a former Irish youths, U-18 and U-20 international, said he is delighted with the way things have worked out for him since moving to Galway. "It has been great and I'm looking forward to another season," said Hagan, who was on the Ireland U-20 team coached by Eric Elwood and Dan McFarland which won the Six Nations grand slam in 2007. Connacht CEO Gerry Kelly said that in a week when hooker Sean Cronin is included in the Ireland squad to play England at Twickenham in the RBS Six Nations, it is very encouraging to see young players prosper after moving to Connacht. "Jamie is having a great season and has been a big addition to our squad on and off the field and it is great that he is committing to Connacht for another season," said Kelly. |
