Connacht's Gavin Duffy has been drafted into the Ireland squad for the summer to New Zealand and Australia after Keith Earls was forced to withdraw suffering from a persistent groin injury.
Duffy, who has been named in the Ireland XV for the game against the Barbarians in Thomond Park on Friday night, will now travel with the squad to New Zealand in place of Earls.
Connacht will now have three players on the tour with Sean Cronin and John Muldoon — who also feature against the Babas — also included.
Earls joins Paul O'Connell, Rory Best and Kevin McLaughlin on the list of players who have been forced to withdraw from the tour.
