Connacht will open their Amlin Challenge Cup campaign against Italian side Cavaleiri Prato in Tuscany on the 9th of October. A clash with French team Bayonne and back to back games against English Premiership side Harlequins in December will mean Eric Elwood will have four of the six pool 1 matches played before Christmas. Elwood will be looking to replicate the success of last years campaign which saw Connacht finish top of their group and through the quarter-finals, only missing the finals by a single score to Toulon in the Sportsground last April. With the majority of last years squad signing up again and some new signings, including Ezra Taylor and Cillian Willis, the teams preparations are well under way.
