Connacht got off to another great start when after just 2 minutes Ian KEatley slotted 3 points. Brian Tuohy crossed for his 3rd Magners League try of the season with 8 minutes of the game played. Keatley missed the conversion but Connacht were on the front foot and playing all the rugby. Slick hands and a perfectly weighted grubber from Keatley left Gavin Duffy to collect and cross the Warriors line. With the conversion added by Keatley Connacht led 15 5 with 17 minutes gone, Glasgow’s Hefin O’Hare crossing for their only try of the half. Ruaridh Jackson missed the conversion but added a penalty to his tally before being sin-binned for an off-the-ball challenge on Brian Tuohy. Out-half Ian Keatley slotted the resulting penalty to give Connacht an 18 8 lead at half time. Connacht started the second half as the ended the first. A superd break by Ian Keatley who offloaded to Fionn Carr who gave it back to the outhalf for Connacht to scroe under the posts. It was a well worked try that started in the Connacht 22. Keatley added the conversion. Four minutes later, Connacht prop Brett Wilkinson made another terrific break before offloading to keatley who found Touhy in space on the wing and the Limerick man finished without any hassle. Keatley hit the post with the conversion but got his chance to make up for it on 63 minutes. Some great work by the Connacht forwards led to scrum after scrum 5 metres short of the Glasgow line. The scottish scrum couldn't deal with the power of the home side and a penalty try was awarded. Keatley added the easy conversion. It was all Glasgowafter that however as both subs benches were emptied. Glasgow piled wave after wave of pressure on the Connacht line but the home defence stood tall. No matter what the away side tried they could not break down a fantastic defence. It finished in the Sportsground, Connacht 37-8 Glasgow. Next up for Connacht is an away trip to the Ospreys next weekend. pics (C) www.actionshots.ie/ Tommy Grealy
