Kick-off time for Connacht 'A' match confirmed as 3.00pm

Following on from their recent impressive 21-17 victory over Leinster, Connacht ‘A’ will take on Russian touring side Enisei STM in two matches on Wednesday 6th and Saturday 9th of April. The Russians are no strangers to the Sportsground having played here in both 2008 and 2009. They will travel to Galway with a host of Russian internationals, in particular Vladimir Ostrushko, who has been setting the IRB Sevens series alight lately. Enisei STM are based in the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk and are three-times Russian champions winning the title in 1999, 2002 and 2005.

Speaking about the upcoming games, Connacht ‘A’ coach Nigel Carolan commented: ‘We would like to welcome Enisei STM back to Galway, both previous encounters were fast-paced, physical encounters and it will be a good challenge for our up and coming players.’
