The times and dates for Connacht’s first 12 games of the new RaboDirect PRO12 have been announced.
Eric Elwood’s team kick off their league campaign with an away trip to Treviso on Friday the 3rd September with their first home game welcoming the Scarlets to the newly redeveloped Sportsground at 3.15pm on Saturday 10th September.
Speaking about the fixtures Team Manager Tim Allnutt said:
“We have 3 good preseason matches against Exeter, a Select Ireland XV and Saracens so that should prepare us well for the season ahead. It was a close game against Treviso over there last October with only a score between the 2 sides and we beat the Scarlets when they came here to the Sportsground last February so we’ll be hoping for a strong start to the league campaign.”
The Sportsground is undergoing redevelopment work to make the College Rd venue more comfortable for supporters, with the covering of the Clan Terrace, addition of a covered 300 seater stand and increased bar and catering facilities throughout the ground.
