Last February Connacht welcomed the Glasgow Warriors to the Sportsground. Fresh from beating the Scarlets the week before Eric Elwood’s men, led by captain John Muldoon, staged an assault on the Scottish side that never abated from the moment the 1^st whistle got the game underway. Connacht led 18 8 at half-time courtesy of tries from Gavin Duffy and flying winger Brian Tuohy and went on to score another 3 tries through the hands of Fionn Carr, Brian Tuohy and a well deserved penalty try from a dominant scrum.

Brian Tuohy, after scoring a brace of tries in that match, will miss the return fixture this weekend with a broken leg. The 27 year old former Ireland 7’s star believes Connacht can produce a similar display this weekend:

“I’ve no doubt the lads can turnover Glasgow this Saturday. They know what they’re about, they know they can beat them at home in front of a home crowd and after the victory over Harlequins 3 weeks ago the team know they have what it takes to take on a high-flying team that are going well and get a result. The fact that Glasgow are 3^rd in the League won’t phase them too much either and I know everyone’s looking forward to getting back to winning ways after last weekend’s loss to Cardiff, especially in front of the home crowd in the Sportsground. The noise they produced in the last Heineken Cup game here was unbelievable and it really does make a difference on the pitch.”
