Connacht rugby and BLK today unveiled the new Connacht Rugby European Jersey which is available in Elverys Intersport stores nationwide and www.elverys.ie from tomorrow, Wednesday 5th October.

BLK, in its fourth year as Connacht Rugby’s official kit partner, worked closely with Connacht management on the new design to encompass the entire province of Connacht as they prepare for a return to European Champions Cup rugby.

To celebrate the reveal of the new European jersey, BLK have teamed up with title sponsor Elverys Intersport to offer fans a chance of winning match tickets, corporate hospitality, gift vouchers, signed jerseys and more at an exclusive evening with senior players this Wednesday in Galway. Fans are invited to call into the Elverys Intersport store in Edwards Square, Galway on Wednesday October 5th from 4:30 – 6pm to interact with Connacht Rugby players and be in with a chance to win a number of prizes.

Commenting on the reveal, head of Commercial & Marketing at Connacht Rugby Brian Mahony said:

“We are all really happy with the new-look European jersey and delighted to share it with our supporters today. It’s an exciting time for the team and province as we make a return to Champions Cup rugby in just eleven days’ time and prepare for big games against Toulouse, Wasps and Zebre.”

Bruce Wood, Brand Manager at BLK Ireland added:

It’s fantastic to see Connacht Rugby prepare for their return to the top tier of European rugby. The whole province has really rallied behind this team and their spirit is deep within the DNA of Connacht Rugby. We’re really looking forward to seeing the team take to the field in their new Euro kit

About the new BLK European Jersey

The new European jersey features strands of blue and fluro green across the chest and back on a solid black base colour. The shoulder and upper back panel revert to fluro green to break up the detailed graphic component of the jersey. The chest and BLK logos are applied using a unique silicone gel finish while there are Lycra side panels finished with fluro sleeve cuffs.

The jerseys are made with BLK’s exclusive Exotek fabric throughout the main body which maximises player comfort and manoeuvrability. Exotek is the strongest, lightest and most breathable and soft-to-touch fabric ever used by BLK with its four-way stretch properties setting it apart as a market leader. This is paired with subtle hints of green integrated into the new BLK collar design.

The new European Jersey will be available to purchase in Elverys Intersport stores and online at www.elverys.ie from October 5th 2016.
