Playing with the strong wind Connacht made the most of the conditions with first half tries from hooker Danny Arnold and winger Saul O’Carroll to gave Connacht a 10-0 lead at halftime. Scrumhalf Rob Hennessey added to the try tally in the second half after some powerful work from the pack and outhalf Dylan Prendergast’s conversion extended their lead which they never relinquished, the final score Connacht 17-10 Ulster.

Connacht host Munster U18 in the Sportsground next Saturday (KO: 14:30) in the final match of the Interprovincial Series. With both teams having won their previous two matches this is the U18 Grandslam decider and it promises to be a trilling encounter at the Sportsground.
