Connacht Junior 1A League

The race for the Connacht Junior 1A League is certainly heating up with Ballina and Connemara battling it out to be crowned Connacht champions with just four rounds of fixtures remaining.

Leaders Ballina, who are three points clear at the top of the table, will be favourites as they host basement side NUIG on Sunday.

Connemara, who are 11 points clear of third-placed Monivea, face a tough test away to Westport on Sunday.

The action kicks off on Saturday evening as Ballinasloe host Monivea with both sides recording six wins from their opening 10 matches.

Buccaneers host Galwegians at Dubarry Park in a vital game at the bottom of the table the following day.

Connacht Junior 1B League

Tuam travel to bottom side Ballyhaunis on Friday night desperate to earn the win that would put them right in contention at the top of the table.

Leaders Corinthians will have their title credentials tested on Sunday afternoon as they travel to Ballinrobe and Castlebar host Sligo in another big game at the top of the table.

Connacht Junior 1C League

They are down to the second last round of fixtures in Junior 1C. Leaders Corrib are away to Carrick and it’s a battle of second and third when Dunmore host Portumna in another big game at the top of the table. Claremorris travel to Westport in a must-win game at the bottom of the table.

Connacht Junior 2 League

The final round of fixtures in the J2 League kicks off on Saturday evening as Creggs host bottom side Galwegians hoping to move above the relegation play-off place.

There are six teams battling out for the four play-off places with OLBC requiring just a point at home to leaders Oughterard to copper-fasten their top four place.

Connemara need to beat NUIG to give themselves a chance of making the play-offs and a Monivea victory at home to Corinthians will catapult them above the Galway side. Ballina require a win in Tuam to guarantee their top four place.
