Coláiste Iognáid celebrate winning last year's Top Oil Connacht Schools Senior Cup.

The six sides have been named for the triple-header of Top Oil Connacht Schools finals at the Sportsground tomorrow.

Top Oil Connacht Schools Triple-Header Fixture Details

Junior Cup Final: Garbally College v Coláiste Iognáid (The Jes), Sportsground, 2pm;

Senior Cup Final: Coláiste Iognáid (The Jes) v Summerhill College, Sportsground, 4pm;

Senior Development Final: Presentation College Headford v St. Muredach’s, Sportsground, 6pm;

 

Coláiste Iognáid (The Jes) are chasing a double as they face Garbally College in the Junior Cup final at 2pm and Summerhill College in the Senior Cup final at 4pm.

The Schools Senior Development Cup final will take place at 6pm with Pres Headford taking on St. Muredach’s. Pres Headford defeated Rice College 19-12 in their semi-final with St Muredach’s emerging with a 24-23 victory over Gortnor Abbey.

Summerhill are in their second Senior Cup final and have never lifted the trophy with holders The Jes aiming for a 14th Senior Cup title.

Both Junior Cup last-four games were played last Tuesday afternoon with Garbally recording a convincing 31-5 win over Marist College in Garbally as The Jes edged out CBS Roscommon 17-14 in a thrilling encounter.

Both Senior Cup semi-finals were played two weeks ago with holders Coláiste Iognáid (The Jes) overcoming Sligo Grammar 29-7 in the Newcastle rain.

Summerhill College took a major step towards a possible first ever Top Oil Connacht Schools Senior Cup title when they edged out Garbally College 10-9.
