The players were taken for a training session with some of Connacht Rugby’s coaching staff and were treated to a tour of the Sportsground on Friday before a presentation from the Head of Operations, Karl Boyle, and Coach Development Manager, Eamonn Molloy, on Connacht Rugby’s strategy and vision.

The travelling party took in a visit to the National University of Ireland, Galway, and were shown around the campus and the famous Quad before making their way to the University playing fields in Dangan where they played the Connacht U17 team in two challenge matches.

Speaking about the games, Connacht’s U17 coach Eamonn Molloy said: "These matches provide us with an excellent opportunity to give the squad additional gametime and I have to commend Georgetown on two challenging and physical encounters.”
