Secondary Schools Blitz At Corinthians
The Connacht Rugby Club & Community Department recently held an U14 blitz for secondary schools students at Corinthians RFC.

70 players from a number of Galway schools participated in the event which was organised by Club and Community Rugby Officers Conor Galvin and Matt Henderson.

It was the latest in a series of blitzes that gives young players the opportunity to play 10-a-side rugby.

Initiatives such as this are vital in the development of rugby in schools and prepares them to enter next season's competitions, as well as introducing new players to rugby.

Connacht Rugby would like to thank Conor and Matt for organising the event, Corinthians for the use of their facilities, referee on the day John Ward, and the teachers and schools for taking part.

The Club & Community Rugby Officers in Connacht have played a huge role in the expansion of schools rugby in the province. There are now six competitions for schools of all levels in place as the main Junior and Senior Cups are supplemented by the Emerging and Development competitions.
