Open Trials For Connacht Women's Team

Ahead of the upcoming season, Connacht Rugby are pleased to announce that we will be holding open trials for our Women’s team this Saturday.

With nine Connacht players in the shake-up for Ireland selection at the World Cup next month, there is an opportunity for new players to join the squad ahead of December’s Interprovincial Championship.

The trials will be held this Saturday, July 8, in the Sportsground at 1pm. If you wish to attend, please email connachtwomensrugby@gmail.com to confirm your attendance.

Women’s rugby in Connacht, and Ireland, has become increasingly popular over the last number of years with playing numbers surging annually.

The Connacht interprovincial side have improved markedly in that time and defeated eventual champions Leinster and Ulster in last year’s Interpros and fell just short of claiming the title.
