Connacht Rugby believes its place in the community is incredibly important. Read below for more information about how we give back, and how you can get involved.
Over the years we have worked with a wide variety of Official Charity Partners. For the 2023/24 season we are delighted to team up with heart and stroke charity Croí, and encourage men and women of all ages to lead a happy, active and healthy lifestyle.
Full information about Croí and the work that they do can be found below.
Previously Connacht Rugby have teamed up with the likes of Galway Hospice and Mayo/Roscommon Hospice, and Ability West.
Supporters may also remember the limited edition 'Heroes' jersey, which honoured the Heroes in our community who helped the most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic. The jersey was sold out in record time and €27,000 was raised for ALONE as well as the Hospices.
Established in 1985, Croí is a registered Irish Heart and Stroke Charity. Croí’s aim is to lead the fight against heart disease and stroke, with a particular focus on serving and supporting communities across the West of Ireland.
Croí is based in the Croí Heart & Stroke Centre, Galway, which was opened in 2012 and is a leading centre for heart disease and stroke prevention, research, education, patient support and rehabilitation.
Croí's work is underpinned by three main pillars, namely: Croí in the Community, Specialist Health Programmes and Advocacy.
