The Annual national schools Tag rugby blitz was held in Dubarry park Athlone last thursday, a total of 25 teams each with 10 boys and girls plus accompanying subs spread themselves across the verdant fields. An odd referees whistle was the only thing that broke the constant to ing and fro ing of the local boys and girls. Hanlys Cash and Carry were again the proud sponsors of this event and Cornafulla NS again came out on top with an excellent performance.

Connacht Development Officer Emer O Dowd who refereed the final was fulsome in her praise of the event which went without a hitch despite the threat of an odd shower.
