Connacht secured the last quarter-final place in this season’s European Challenge Cup with a dramatic finish at Stade Marcel-Deflandre on Saturday night.

Through Niyi Adeolokun and Matt Healy, Connacht grabbed two converted tries in the final six minutes to wrap up the last runners-up place in the cup.

As the eighth seeds, the club will now meet the top qualifying side Gloucester at Kingsholm in April.

The qualifiers for the Challenge Cup quarter-finals and their rankings are as follows :

8 Connacht Rugby (third best pool runner-up)

The quarter-finals matches to be played on the weekend of 2/3/4/5 April are as follows:

(3) Newport Gwent Dragons v Cardiff Blues (6)
(4) London Irish v Edinburgh Rugby (5)

The draws for both the European Challenge Cup and Champions Cup will take place at Stade Marcel-Michelin at approximately 17.15 GMT today, Sunday 25th January. Both draws  will be broadcast live on BT Sport, Sky Sports & France Televisions & also available on http://epcrugby.com  via live stream.
