Ballagh’s Call Ready To Sound Again!
Ballaghaderreen Rugby Football Club is now ready to commence the new 2010/’11 mini/youth season and this year we will be running from September until April next covering a full season of coaching, friendly games and provincial competitions. Last season, 2009/’10, our first full season was well supported by the large numbers of players taking part. All age groups performed well at the end of season Connaught provincial blitzes as well as enjoying a number of friendly games throughout the season.
This coming season we hope to field squads for the Connaught U13 & U15 League and Cup competitions. This will be a full competitive season for these age groups under the full 15 a side rugby rules. This is a new challenge for the club and we are seeking assistance and support to help us in this area.
Coaching will take place weekly at the Ballaghaderreen Community Park 11am – 12.30 pm each Saturday starting as follows:
·    Born in 1998 or before – Saturday 18th September 11am – 12.30pm
·      Born after 1998  – Saturday 25th September 11am – 12.30pm.

Pictured at the launch of this seasons jeserys is Pat Towey:
“Pat is an ardent supporter of the rugby club and a regular attendee of Connacht matches in the Sportsground, Galway. Pat also has two of his own boys aged 6 & 8 who are coming through the ranks of the underage squads in Ballaghaderren. Pat’s support is timely as his sponsorship will provide kit for the emerging older age group U13/14s who Ballaghaderren hope to enter into the Connacht leagues in the coming season.
