Ballina RFC achieves Q mark.

Ballina RFC is having a good year on the playing fields this year, but it is not just in this area that the club is excelling. They have become the first Junior club in Connacht to achieve the Q mark award. The result of a lot of hard work by all those involved in the club at all levels and areas, be it Senior, Mini, Youth or Girls rugby or finance, medical or child welfare, Ballina have standards and systems in place which are exemplary and the achievement of this prestigious award gives all those who are working so hard in the administration of the club great confidence and is a tangible reward for all their efforts in running the club. Not only should it encourage all those who helped achieve this but perhaps might reassure anyone who is thinking about becoming involved that they will become part of such a well run club which is of such value to the community. Special mention must be made of Ken Doherty who co-ordinated Ballina’s efforts to make this great achievement. It bodes well for the future of rugby in North Mayo when such high standards are in place.
