Connacht Rugby and All Core Sports Gym

Connacht Rugby is delighted to announce its association with All Core Sports Gym, Ballinasloe, for the 2011-2012 season.

Located on Sarsfield Rd, Ballinasloe, this modern, well-equipped gym will cater to Connacht Rugby’s most-promising sub-Academy players of Under16 to Under19 grades.

Gym proprietor Michael Horan, himself an experienced strength-and-conditioning advisor is thrilled to announce the high-performance link between Galway and Ballinasloe.

“We’ve excellent facilities here in Ballinasloe and we’re only delighted to offer the academy the opportunity to improve physical conditioning with us.”

This facility will cater for both amateur and professional athletes.

Ballinasloe Rugby’s Jacob Walshe is one such promising youngster. Recently-capped for the Irish Youths, Walshe is looking forward to the convenience and expertise of a more local facility.

Neighbouring clubs Portumna and Loughrea’s future stars will also benefit from the facility’s ties with Connacht Rugby. Antoine Mobian, Academy fitness coach, sung the gym’s praises and said any young player hoping to further him or herself before hitting Junior 1A or Senior rugby ranks would benefit from the connection.

“Ballinasloe’s All Core is perfect for functional movement training, agility and speed work and the big stretching area is great for foam rolling. The ACS indoor sprint track and gym allows flexibility, strength development and technique to be developed any time of the year, in any weather conditions and all under one roof,” he said.

C, Johnny O’Connor believes “It’s a fantastic gym which suits any type of training whether it’s for team sports, young athletes like the Connacht sub-academy, amateur athletes or people who just want to get fit or to lose weight. Michael is an experienced coach who will help you reach your goals”
