Become a Referee!
Ever thought of becoming a referee?
The Association of Referees Connacht Branch is looking to recruit new referees for the coming season and is running a New Recruits course on Saturday the 10th of September. The course will be run in Corinthians RFC starting at 10am.
Rugby Refereeing is a great hobby which includes many benefits:
– Provide an invaluable service to your province.
– Keeps you fit (Referees run an average of 6 miles in an 80 minute match).
– Active participation in our great game.
– Monthly Workshops and Courses.
– Access to gear.
– Games at every level to cater for your ability with a clear pathway to progress.
– Benefit your club financially through the clubs of Ireland Scheme.
So if you have ever thought of becoming a referee then don’t think twice. We would be delighted to have you at our next New Recruits Course. You do not have to be a member of a rugby club and all levels of rugby experience are catered for. The minimum requirements are that you are 18 years old or older, have a basic level of fitness and an availability to referee.
