While several Irish rugby superstars await New Zealand tour selection, Connacht’s own Billy Glynn’s selection atop Irish rugby ranks was set in stone several months back.

The Connacht rugby icon assumes his post as Union President in July, and Ballyhaunis Rugby Club marks that achievement with a dinner on Heineken Cup Saturday, May 19, from 8pm.

Glynn, a Galwegian by club allegiance, is an immensely-popular character throughout the county fronting on several occasions for college and club rugby fixtures in and around Galway City.

The 8pm dinner takes place in the Ballyhaunis Clubhouse, all are welcome to attend, and €25 tickets may be purchased from Curley’s Pharmacy in Ballyhaunis, 094 9630110.
