Ladies Off for Christmas…with no further fixtures this side of the New Year, the Carrick girls rang in the festive season in fine form on Saturday and wish to thank Kenny and the Murtaghs Bar staff for their hospitality. Thanks also, they said, to Ian Fowden and Michael McSweeney for upping the (other) bar. Carrick will contest the Development League semi-final in January. Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7.30pm.

Their male colleagues…took on Ballyhaunis in Leitrim Village but were unable to topple the visitors down 6-17. January 8 welcomes Cup competition to Carrick-on-Shannon, Creggs the visiting complement. The League resumes January 22 v Connemara. Training continues on Wednesday and Friday evenings at 8pm.

Mini and Youth training takes a break…until after Christmas, the Cavan Blitz did not come to fruition, cancelled due to inclement weather. Training will resume January 7, contact Aidan on 086 3867960 with any enquiries.
