Carrick-on-Shannon rugby hosts its maiden blitz in Ballinamore on Saturday, from 10.30am.

Sligo are the visitors boasting some 200 tourists for the mid-morning meet-and-maul. All players and parents are heartily-encouraged to attend and cheer on their aspiring O’Connells, wishful Wallaces and budding Bowes.

Likewise, anyone in Ballinamore or Carrick wishing to see the unbridled organised chaos of a mini blitz first-hand are invited to come down and support your county club. The noise alone will rival France v Ireland’s Paris clash later in the day.

Training continues for the next two Saturdays at 10:30am at Leitrim Village Community Field. Contact Aidan on 086 3867960 with any queries.
