Carrick on Shannon travelled to Tuam in the first game of the Connacht Development League Wed 3rd Oct.

Carrick News3 350After ten minutes of play the score line favoured the Tuam Ladies when two missed tackles after a contested scrum saw them make an impressive break scoring under the posts and in turn converting to take the lead 7-0. Carrick on Shannon responded with spirited tackling and scrummaging and were rewarded with a penalty in the first half. The Tuam Ladies responded with another two tries and one conversion.

A try and conversion for the Carrick Ladies in the second half was not enough however to see off the strong challenge from Tuam with the Tuam RFC Ladies coming out the winners with 19 points to Carrick Ladies 10points.
