Ladies News
Our senior ladies team travelled to play a friendly in Athlone on Sunday with an air of confidence after last weekends’ victory but a strong Buccaneers side defeated them with a final score of Buccaneers 20 – Carrick 10.  Every team member put in a valiant effort but woman of the match went to Aoife Kelly. 
Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
PLEASE come out and support our ladies in their first league game which is at home in Leitrim Gaels grounds, Leitrim Village V. Tuam on Sunday 16th at 2pm.
 
Mens News
Our senior mens team took on Connemara All-Blacks in a closely contested game on Sunday last in Leitrim Village, they were narrowly defeated, final score was Connemara All-Blacks 6 – Carrick 3, player of the match went to Dermott Foley.  Strong performances by Paddy Leydon and also Rian Harding, following in family footsteps with some good steals from the lineout!!
Next fixture is Sunday 16th away V. Monivea.
Training continues on Wednesday and Friday evenings at 8pm.
 
 
Minis / Youths
We travelled to a blitz in Sligo this weekend, there was a great turnout of players and every player put in an excellent individual performance.  The weather was perfect and there was a great display of rugby at all levels.  The coaches wish to pay special thanks to all the parents that travelled to Sligo to support the club and players!
Training on Saturday will be at the later time of 11am due to the RWC Semi-final at 9am.

Condolences
We would like to extend our condolences to Ladies player Carina Lennon on the death of her grandmother. Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam Dilis, may she rest in peace.
