CONNACHT WOMENS LEAGUE – UCG 17 CARRICK 7

The Carrick girls put the memory of their recent heavy defeat to Sligo behind them with a battling performance against UCG last Sunday.  The lessons learned from that defeat paid off with baby of the team Niamh Spellman getting over for the Angels try and converting it herself.  The Angels were also desparately unlucky by having two more tries disallowed but can look forward to the remainder of the league with a lot more confidence.

Ladies training continues, contact Ladies Captain Aine Shanley @ 087-2544388 and coach Ian Fowden @ 086-0888978.

JUVENILE RUGBY

Youth and Minis rugby training will continue at the Stade de Mohill on Saturday from 10.30 am.  Bring a friend and bring a gumshield.  Old faces and new players are welcome.

As the juvenile section of Carrick RFC continues to grow we require new youths rugby coaches in order to keep up with demands.  Experienced coaches and ex players wishing to pass on their experience to a new generation are most welcome.
