Mens News
Our Senior Mens team travelled to Portumna on Sunday last but came up short in very difficult playing conditions.  They were beaten 10-5 by the Portumna side, try scorer was Denis Mc Caffrey which was testiment to his strong performance on the day! Conditions led to a very forward orientated game and our forwards put in a vastly improved display over recent weeks.
Come out and support our mens team in the Carrick Annual Tug of War Tournament in aid of Lourdes on Sunday next at 1pm on the street outside Murtaghs & The Venue Bar.
Training continues on Wednesday and Friday evenings at 8pm.

Minis / Youths
On the 22nd of October 2011, Carrick Minis met up at the Landmark Hotel before travelling for a blitz in Athlone.  It was an early, grey and drizzly day, ideal weather for rugby! Our Carrick minis were low in numbers due to some of our players still committed to County finals that day.  Carrick minis made up three teams, under 9s, under10s and under 12s.
That day Ennis Mini Rugby were also invited and arrived in three bus loads.
Undaunted, the tight bunch of Carrick Minis got stuck into their games and played tough, fast paced rugby. There was some excellent tackles put in and plenty of tries were scored by Carrick Minis.
In a now typical fashion, Carrick players were praised for their sportsmanship and good rugby skills.
The teams and coaches were well supported by a contingent of parents who also travelled. Special thanks to Buccaneers Rugby Club for inviting us and their excellent hospitality.
Training continues as usual on Sat morning at 10.30am. Contact Aidan on 0863867960
