Your Club, Your Country (YCYC)

The IRFU and Ulster Bank are delighted to announce that the ‘Your Club, Your Country’ Grand Prize Draw is back again this season.  All of the prizes are provided by the IRFU and their family of partners, leaving Carrick on Shannon RFC free to sell up to a maximum of 1000 IRFU Grand Draw tickets and retain 100% of the amount from those sales to support our club activities during the season.  Having made a huge investment in a new full size playing pitch and improved training area, this is another great opportunity for Carrick on Shannon RFC members and supporters to help raise much needed funds to continue your club’s development.

How do I buy a ticket and how much?

Tickets are €10 and can be bought online. They all also available from all senior club players and from Minis & Youths Coaches and parents.

When’s the Draw?

The draw will take place on Wednesday, December 10th 2014 and can be viewed on Irish Rugby TV on

Upcoming Minis Blitzes & Youth League Games

Next Weekend is a busy weekend for our Mini & Youth players.

On Saturday 8/11/2014 our Minis are playing a blitz in Ballyshannon RFC on their 4G pitch.  Last year when we played in Ballyshannon, all our players were on fire and without doubt we won the respect of the players, coaches and parents for our pedigree of rugby and our brilliant behaviour on and off the pitch.  That is the main reason we were invited back and why we couldn’t refuse!!

Also on Saturday our U13s Youth team have their first home IRFU League game against Monivea RFC.  Players will be notified by their Coaches and more up-to-date information will be available on

On Sunday 9/11/14, the Lansdowne RFC Minis are travelling in numbers to Leitrim to play Carrick RFC Minis.  As it is a home blitz we hope that parents, mums and dads will pitch in for the organisation of this blitz.  We are asking mothers of players to contact Martin on 087 6295455 or Gerard on 086 4179634 to take responsibility for the catering for the players from both clubs and parents travelling from Dublin.  The blitz on Sunday will be in Leitrim Gaels Community pitch and KO will be advised.

Again on Sunday our U14s Youth team have a home IRFU League game against NUIG Youth Academy.  Players will be notified by their Coaches and more up-to-date information will be available on

Registration & Subs

Can we give a big thank you to all the parents who have submitted club forms, registration fees and subs so far this season.  Thank you also to the parents of our new players who have also submitted completed IRFU forms and copies of birth certs for IRFU registration purposes.  This has been of great benefit to the Coaches who will be finalising registrations for the season.  Coaches will be texting a few parents to inform them of what is outstanding and we will shortly afterwards be removing phone numbers and emails from the club mailing lists.

Clobber for CRFC

On behalf of Carrick RFC, the coaches and the players we would like to say a big thank you to all the parents who went to the bother of donating clobber (unwanted clothes) to Carrick RFC.  We will use this clobber to raise necessary funds to improve the facilities within the club.  Thank you so much to everyone who helped us and we hope to run Clobber for CRFC next March before our season ends.
