RaboDirect PRO12 reigning champions Leinster arrive at the Sportsground this Saturday, 4th January, kick off 7:15pm. The famous Clan Stand is now SOLD OUT for the opening game of the New Year but tickets are still available for the remaining areas of the stadium including the Main Stand, Bohermore and College Road Terraces.

Half way through the season and having played all eleven oppositions in the league, Pat Lam’s men will be looking for back to back wins at the Sportsground following the 14 – 11 victory over the Dragons on December 21st.

Connacht fans will remember passionately the last time that Leinster visited Galway in 2012 when the western province recorded an impressive 34 – 6 bonus point win over the then European Champions.

The Leinstermen have won just once away to a fellow Irish Province since April 2012: 22-16 at Munster on 13th April 2013. However, their only defeat in their last six PRO12 encounters was 6-11 to Edinburgh at Murrayfield in round 10.

Tickets for Connacht v Leinster this weekend can be purchased online from tickets.ie, from the Connacht Rugby ticket office*, at the Sportsground or from Centra and SuperValu stores province-wide.

Adult tickets start at €25 while it’s €5 for all Juniors.

*The Connacht Rugby ticket office will be closed on New Year’s Day, Wednesday 1st January 2014.
