Connacht maintained their unbeaten home record this season with a 14 – 9 win over Edinburgh at the Sportsground in Galway. Man of the Match and September Player of the Month Tiernan O’Halloran touched down for the only try of the game after ten minutes and an impressive break from wing Matt Healy. Jack Carty converted three of six attempts from the kicking tee.

Edinburgh’s kicked three penalties of their own and sustained pressure right up to the final play of the game when they threatened a last-gasp upset but Pat Lam’s men held on to close out the narrow victory and retain second place on the Guinness PRO12 table.
