Connacht 35 - 14 Munster
Connacht recorded a first ever season double over Munster tonight with a 35 – 14 win at the Sportsground.

The 14th PRO12 win for Pat Lam’s men also secured the season goal of Champions Cup rugby for next season with two games in the regular season remaining.

Niyi Adeolokun crossed for a brace either side of the penalty try awarded just before the break to make it four tries in two weeks for the winger. Prop Finlay Bealham, who has featured in every game this season, crossed for his first try in a Connacht jersey  to secure the bonus point after 65 minutes.

Outhalf Shane O’Leary  had a fantastic strike rate from the kicking tee, knocking over six from seven attempts for a total of 15 points.

Munster’s early scores came from Simon Zebo and Mike Sherry with Johnny Holland converting on both occasions but the visitors, who had two players sin binned before the break, couldn’t get any more points on the board after the outhalf's conversion kick on 24 minutes.
