The Connacht Eagles, sponsored by NUI Galway, won their third successive interpro fixture of the season today, beating Ulster Ravens 25 – 20 at the Sportsground.

In an entertaining, fast-paced game, the Eagles outscored the visitors by three tries to one.  Connacht’s Conor Finn, Caolin Blade and Andrew Browne all crossed the whitewash for the Eagles while Shane O’Leary kicked 10 points.

Ravens’ outhalf Michael Heaney scored 15 points including a try while his team mate and replacement back Mark Best crossed in the opening half.

Mick Kearney played 40 minutes as was planned on his return from rugby while all the Eagles replacements were used, with the exception of scrum half John Cooney.
