Saturday 3rd September sees a festival of rugby taking place as part of the Women’s Interprovincial series. The Connacht Ladies take on the Munster Ladies at 2.30pm in what should be a cracker of a match at Galway Corinthians RFC.
As a build up to the main match there are two additional games;
A Connacht U-18 Selection shall take on a Munster U-18 Selection at 12pm.The U-18’s under the direction of Wendy Hickey shall see their first action since last year when they made history as the first U-18 girls team to don the Connacht jersey
Over the past few weeks a Connacht Development squad has been put through their paces by Ciaran Loughnane, Luke o’ Donnell and Sinead Cosgrave. At 1pm the Connacht Development team will take on a Munster Development side.
The senior squad is bolstered by the return of players from Tralee and Portlaoise alongside familiar local faces and some new. This year sees a new look coaching team in Colm Power and Emer O’ Dowd who hope to lay out their markers on Saturday.
