Last Thursday, the 8th November the Connacht Rugby roadshow began their journey in the Glasshouse Hotel, Sligo.

Connacht Rugby as part of their outreach program to schools, clubs and supporters are visiting four locations throughout the province to share their vision and plans for the future of Connacht Rugby.

The event which was well attended by supporters and members from Sligo RFC, South Sligo RFC, Carrick-on- Shannon RFC and Ballaghaderreen RFC heard from CEO Tom Sears, members of the Professional Games Board including Sligo’s Damian Devaney  and Dan McFarland representing the professional coaching staff.

After a period of planning and strategic thinking the professional rugby club are taking to the road in an effort to communicate directly with supporters and clubs throughout the province of Connacht. This new venture is a unique opportunity for people to be introduced first hand, to the vision and plans for the future of Connacht Rugby. Attendees will hear from speakers on the core activities and developments at the club across marketing, ticketing, player development and recruitment, community and club, finances and facilities.

The roadshow continues in the Harlequins Hotel Castlebar next Thursday 15th November, Shearwater Hotel Ballinasloe the 29th November and concludes in the Carlton Hotel, Galway the 6th December. Each event has an open invitation and can be attended by anyone who wishes to hear about the future of Connacht Rugby.
