Connacht Rugby Squad to travel to Ballina for community visit

The Connacht Rugby squad and management team will travel to Ballina on Wednesday 11th July to meet members of the local rugby club and Ballina community.

The trip will take place in conjunction with the Connacht Rugby Summer Camp which will be held at the club throughout week. The visit to Ballina is the first in a number of club and community visits that the squad have planned for the upcoming season.

Ballina RFC are coming off a hugely successful season during which they secured a return to the Ulster Bank League with victory in the All-Ireland Qualifiers and won the Cawley Cup, Connacht Junior Cup and Connacht Junior League. Their achievements on and off the field were acknowledged in May when they were named Connacht Rugby Club of the Year at the annual Connacht Rugby Awards.

During the visit to Ballina the Connacht players will take part in a number of drills and games with the kids who will also get opportunities for autographs and pose for photos afterwards.

The week-long Connacht Rugby Summer Camps are taking place in conjunction with official partners ‘Totalhealth Pharmacy’. There are a number of places available at the Summer Camp in Ballina and the 17 other venues that will host camps over the next six weeks. Places can be booked by visiting community.connachtrugby.ie.
