Connacht Rugby is delighted to announce details of this year’s Strength & Conditioning workshop, in association with Cancer Care West, which will take place on Friday, May 2nd 2014 at 7pm.

The workshop will take place at the Sportsground in the Connacht Rugby gym and aims to attract everyone who has an interest in Strength and Conditioning for team sports at all levels and age grade.

The “Athletic development & performance planning for team sports” workshop will be a mix of theoretical and practical presentations from Connacht Rugby’s Strength & Conditioning Department, GAA Strength & Conditioning specialists as well as a weightlifting expert.

Speakers include Tom McLaughlin (Connacht Rugby Head of Fitness), Jim Molony (Connacht Rugby Senior Strength & Conditioning), Antoine Mobian (Connacht Rugby Academy Strength & Conditioning), Martin McKiernan (Connacht Rugby Sports Science intern), Kevin D’Arcy (Performance Director Weightlifting Ireland) and Neil O’Toole (Galway Football Head of Strength & Conditioning).
