Creggs retain unbeaten record

Creggs made it two wins in a row when they defeated Connemara All Blacks at the Green on Sunday last on a scoreline of 27-15.
The opening score, a try, came from Kevin Brandon after 25 minutes and his brother Conor also got over the line minutes later. Before half time Tom Fleming crossed for a third in a good handling move that involved Noel Flynn and Kevin Brandon. Ja Hughes converted to leave the score 17-0. Connemara got a penalty on the stroke of half time to leave the half time score 17-3.

Ja Hughes was on hand early in the second half to score another penalty and his effort was followed by a try from Peter Comiskey, which resulted from a good drive by the forwards, to leave the score 27-3. Connemara hit back sstrongly in the last quarter, adding two tries as Creggs tires in the closing stages.
There were some impressive performances by Creggs, including Mikey Blighe at prop forward, Kevin Brandon, Noel Flynn at scrum half and Tom Callaghan.
It leaves Creggs with ten points from two games, but they face a tough challenge next Saturday evening in Ballinasloe at 7 pm to preserve their unbeaten record.
