The Connacht Eagles team, sponsored by NUI Galway, will welcome pool 5 leaders Doncaster Knights to the Sportsground for round 5 of the British & Irish Cup tomorrow, Saturday (kick off 1pm).

Head Coach Nigel Carolan has made nine changes to the starting XV that travelled to Jersey for the last round four weeks ago.

Senior players Darragh Leader, Fionn Carr and Eoin McKeon have all returned from injury to start in Galway tomorrow.

Shane O’Leary is handed the reins at outhalf while the Academy’s Conor Lowndes starts at scrum half.

Hooker Shane Delahunt will captain the side from a front row with young props Conan O’Donnell and Conor Kenny. Danny Qualter is named in the second row with Cillian Gallagher while Cian Romaine is promoted to the back row where he joins Rory Moloney and McKeon.

Commenting on the upcoming game, Nigel Carolan said:

“We performed well against Doncaster when we travelled to play them in November. They are top of what is a tough pool but we will be hoping that tomorrow, we can convert our opportunities into scores.”
