The Connacht Eagles team, sponsored by NUI Galway, will face Newport Gwent Dragons Select in their opening game of the British & Irish Cup tomorrow at the Sportsground.

With the senior side in Russia for the European Challenge Cup and a growing list of injuries, head coach Nigel Carolan has named a youthful side, with lock Ben Marshall the only senior player included on his return from injury. The remainder of the match day squad is made up of Academy and club players.

21-year-old Academy outhalf Conor McKeon, who kicked 23 points in last week’s win over Leinster ‘A’, will captain the side for the 2:30pm kick off.

The Clan Bar will be open and all season ticket holders have free entry to the game. Under 12’s are also free while it’s just €5 for all other tickets.
