The 2014 Connacht Rugby Excellence Training Camps are starting next week. From Bank Holiday Monday, Sligo RFC kicks off the first of the five excellence camps.

The 2014 Rugby Excellence Training Camps are professionally coached camps for 13-15 year olds and aim to bring emerging rugby players to the next level with training and coaching in fields such as tactical awareness, nutrition and conditioning. There will be 5 Excellence Camps across the province, Castlebar, Loughrea, Galway, Sligo & Tuam throughout the month of August. 

The camps were created in conjunction with senior Connacht coaches and are designed to expand five key areas: Skills, Tactics, Positional Expertise, Conditioning & Nutrition and Knowledge to Achieve Rugby Excellence.

Rugby Excellence Training Camp dates:

Sligo – Sligo RFC – Mon 4th – Fri 8th August

Loughrea – Loughrea RFC – Mon 11th – Fri 15th August

Castlebar – Castlebar RFC – Mon 18th – Fri 22nd August

Galway – St. Enda’s Secondary School, Threadneedle Road, Salthill – Mon 18th – Fri 22nd August

Tuam – Tuam RFC – Mon 25th – Fri 29th August

The camps run from 9.30 until 3pm Monday to Friday and cost €90. Places are limited to 50 per camp so early booking is advised. CLICK HERE to download an application form
