The camps were created in conjunction with senior Connacht coaches and are designed to expand five key areas: Skills, Tactics, Positional Expertise, Conditioning & Nutrition and Knowledge to Achieve Rugby Excellence.

This is the first year that rugby camps for these age grades have been set up in Connacht and the content reflects the changing nature of rugby in Ireland, providing information and expertise on a wide range of relevant topics.

Speaking at the launch Senior Camp Administrator Emer O’Dowd said:

“We are very excited about the launch of the three Excellence Camps. They will provide in-depth expertise and industry best practices from some of the provinces top coaches. By staging the camps in three strategic areas across the province we are able to provide the best possible coaching to as wide an audience as possible and we are confident that the camps will be a huge success and help bring through the next crop of professional and international players.”
