The historical journey includes the book “Front Up, Rise Up” written by Irish Times journalist Gerry Thornley. The story takes in the province’s professional history, which had the club on the brink of extinction as a professional entity in 2003 and led to supporters marching to the IRFU offices in a successful bid to keep the club afloat. It covers the dethroning of the champions Glasgow in the Sportsground in Galway and the stunning performance in the PRO12 final against Leinster in Edinburgh. In more than two decades of professional rugby, there has been no story quite like it.

 

Also included is the much-acclaimed DVD “The West’s Awake” which tells the story of Connacht’s involvement in the Heineken Cup for the first time ever, culminating in the win over Harlequins, one of the top teams in Europe at the time.

 

Dads can look forward to the next phase of the Connacht journey with a Season Ticket for the 2018/19 season. The ticket will gain entry to all 11 home games in the Guinness PRO14 Championship and an additional 3 games in the European Challenge Cup.
